Flávia Naves e Sebastian Wiedemann

 

Flávia Naves, born in Goiás, Brazil, lives in Rio, where she graduated in Scenic Arts (UNIRIO). She is an actress and a performer, member of Teatro Inominável, a theatre company from Rio. She is now pursuing a master’s degree in Contemporary Studies of Art (UFF), regarding the creation and research in the performance FIGURAÇA – travestimentos do urbano. With her theatre company, she directed, with Diogo Liberano the play Como cavalgar um dragão (2011) and worked as an actress in Vazio é o que não falta, Miranda (2010), Sinfonia Sonho (2011) and Concreto armado (2014), all directed by Liberano. With other artists, she is authoress of several urban performances, participating in important festivals such as Tempo_festival das Artes e Festival Panorama de Dança.

Sebastian Wiedemann, born in Medellín, Colombia in 1987, lives and works en São Paulo. He is a movie maker/researcher and investigates the intersection between experimental movies, philosophy and anthropology, defending the possibility of a thinking-movie which can overflow surfaces of expression between writing, curatorship e production. He holds a master’s degree in Contemporary Studies of Art (UFF, 2015) and graduated in Movie Direction at Universidad del Cine (2010, Argentina) as well as in Visual Arts (Instituto de Bellas Artes, Colombia, 2005). His experimental and documentary movies have been shown in America, Europe and Asia. In the last couple of years his works have been presented in important museums in Brazil, Colombia and Ireland.
